I’m officially no longer 21, it was short lived but now I’m 22! Time has really flown by in a blink of an eye. It was only 4 1/2 years ago when I took my first big step into being independent and being on my own in LA. Within that time I have grown and developed in many ways that I know I wouldn’t have if I had stayed in NY. LA has treated me well.
To celebrate my birthday this year, I ventured out to San Fran with the boyfriend (Alex) and met up with my dad (Eddie), his girlfriend (Michelle) and a friend (Michael). We decided to start off the day with some fresh served dim sum at Lai Hong Lounge (one of the best I’ve ever had!).
Yeah, I didn’t take a picture of the food… We were all starving that none of us remembered to take a photo of the dim sum dishes…
Anyways, afterward we made our way to the Golden Gate Bridge! But before that we were at Land’s End.
Excuse the messy hair, San Fran is not very hair friendly…
After roaming around San Fran, it was dinner time at Chez Papa for some French goodness. I must say it was absolutely amazing. The food was outstanding and to top it all off the service was on point. My overall experience? Uh, the BOMB!!
We were served some bread with this olive dipping when we first sat down. Then, Started off with some appetizers: Bone Marrow, Mussels with Fries and Beef Tartar.
Alex ordered: Lamb
Dad ordered: Fish and Scallop
Michelle and I ordered: Cod Fish
Michael ordered: Steak with Fries
Then, the night went on with bar hopping around SF until 4am…
The next morning (Sunday), we made our way down to Monterey. We stopped by the Fisherman’s Wharf for some clam chowder bread bowls for lunch. Then, we dropped off my dad and Michelle to the aquarium which, by the way is a must see if you guys are ever in the area. Alex and I drove around and ended up at the ocean.
My birthday ended with a road trip back up to LA and boy was I happy to be back in my own bed. Stay tuned for more!! You can follow me on instagram @divenireme for more stuff if you’d like!!
